The Daugava Promenade
| Address | Ogre and Ikšķile town |
| Description |
The Daugava promenade in Ogre is a popular rest area and a place for walking, fishing and water sports both for the residents and the guests. The promenade or the Riga HES protecting dyke was created to safeguard the surrounding area against flooding. It attracts visitors with an excellent view of the confluence of the River Daugava and the River Ogre. There is also a possibility to continue the way and visit the promenade in Ikšķile town. The length of the dyke in each territory is 2.6 kilometres. Both sections are connected by a road suited for cycling.
