Description

A monument of local importance. Built in 1936, author of the project V. Shervinsky. The tsar gates were planned in the classical style with canonical three doors, but due to the lack of space, only the central gates have been completed, the other plane is decorated with sacred images, placed in the canonical order.

The Russian Orthodox church of the Holy Spirit in Ikšķile is the smallest Orthodox church in Latvia. It is a monument of local importance. Ikšķile Orthodox parish of the Holy Spirit has 75 believers. The church has always been open to believers because Ikšķile parish has always had people who honoured spiritual values and took care to protect and preserve the church at all times.
